How to Get Merric in the Mood

...for pizza!

What did you think I meant? ;)

Anyway, I can't believe how long it took me to finish something so silly and effortless. It wasn't that the thing itself took a long time. I just procrastinated finishing the last panel for days.

So basically the whole thing starts with these two idiots. ;)

:iconmaaz123::iconsub-divisions:

The original.
The next original.

So I ended up taking a rather different direction with it, obviously.

I started a different one before this with Fulton and Alex, intending to follow the theme more directly, but I couldn't stop laughing whenever I tried to draw the last panel and decided to get back to it much much later. :XD:

The interesting part of this otherwise ridiculous use of my time was drawing Merric's house.

I know exactly what Merric's house looks like, inside and out, but have never drawn it up very often on paper, and certainly never on DeviantArt. I can tell you that his front doorway looks nothing at all like the one Marlow is flying toward on a rainbow. However, the rest of it is pretty much spot on. For all you can tell of it. Haw.

Perhaps one of these days I'll attempt a full layout of his house. Would be useful to me.

Merric, Marlow, and Munira are © Sommer Sherman.

Merric's cat is named Karl Marx. He's a grumpy old Persian who, in Merric's opinion, resembles the father of Communism. No one really sees what he means by this, but most people hate that cat, and with good reason.

Arrrgh, how did I not face this before!
I can see why Merric's such a sucker for Marlow. How could you resist that face? :aww:
